Dr. Phil wants to get to the bottom of one of America's most mysterious deaths.

The talk show host is paying to exhume and retest the body of a multimillionaire's girlfriend whose strange death was ruled a suicide earlier this year, Radar Online reported.

Rebecca Zahau was found naked and hanging in Jonah Shacknai's mansion two days after Shacknai's son died in a freak accident.

While her death was ruled a suicide, Zahau's family has argued that foul play may have been involved and has demanded authorities reopen an investigation into her death. The family has also questioned how she would be able to hang herself in the way that she was found.

"It seemed like from the beginning a lot of things were ignored," Mary Zahau-Loehner, Zahau's sister, told ABC News in September.

Shacknai's son died two days before Zahau after he fell down the stairs while under her care.

According to multiple reports, before her death she allegedly scrawled a message in black pain that read, "She saved him can you save her."

Investigators said she was dismayed over the loss of Shacknai's son.

"Rebecca received news regarding Max's grave condition at about 10 minutes to 1 in the morning. She made the decision to take her own life," said San Diego County Sheriff's Sgt. Dave Nemeth at the time, according to ABC.

The results of Dr. Phil's tests will be released in November - during sweeps season, Radar said.

It will be the latest scoop for the Oprah protégé, who scored an interview with Casey Anthony's parents last month.
