The Avengers is going to stomp box office competition worse than the superheroes of the film beat down villains. The trailer that aired during the Super Bowl made this much a certainty.

Let's face it. When you have a movie packed with the likes of the Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor with stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans, it doesn't exactly take a team of geniuses to turn this movie into a box office success. 

Still, to have long-lasting and possible record-breaking box office success, it has to be done right. And the dynamic trailer leaves no doubt that they have done it right.

Marvel has done an unprecedented lead in for this movie. They have already built up the characters on the big screen in separate flicks featuring Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor. 

And it is going to pay off in a big way. This movie is going to surpass the box-office haul of any of those flicks, and it is going to rule the 2012 box office.
