KCBS-KCAL has expanded its local news programming, adding morning newscasts on Saturdays and Sundays.

Anchored by Kaj Goldberg and Serene Branson, the new shows will run from 7 to 8 a.m. on KCBS and 8 to 10 on KCAL, on Saturdays, and 6 to 7 a.m. on KCBS and 7 to 9 a.m. on KCAL, on Sundays.

Branson joined KCBS-KCAL in 2007 as a reporter, and Goldberg has been a weather anchor and reporter for the CBS duopoly since 2006.

Promoting the new newscasts on his Facebook page over the weekend, Goldberg wrote, "Tell all of your friends that they can count on us weekend mornings from now on."
