MINNEAPOLIS - Nye's Polonaise Room in Northeast Minneapolis will be the subject of the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives at 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27. Host Guy Fieri spent the better part of a week shooting footage at the Minneapolis treasure for an episode titled "Time Tested Treasures."

Nye's is holding a screening party coinciding with the episode's airing. Watch for cameos from in-house entertainment "The World's Most Dangerous Polka Band" and "Piano Man" Mike Maresh.

Nye's has had it's share of national spotlight since it opened in 1949, as it's been featured on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer and Charlie Gibson, Food TV's Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels, USA Today "10 Great places you won't forget in the Twin Cities. It was also named "Best Bar in America" by Esquire Magazine.
