Storms weakening; Comal remains under flood watch on day true story

The National Weather Service in San Antonio has extended its severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings for San Antonio, eastern Bexar County and west central Guadalupe County until 1 a.m. this morning.
In central and downtown San Antonio, storms delivered torrential rains, dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning, winds up to 60 mph, and hail between 1 to 2 inches in diameter. That line of storms has slowly moved east; along a line that included Converse, Universal City, Schertz and Cibolo and extending towards Seguin, and is now moving at 10 miles per hour.
The storms reportedly dropped between 4 and 6 inches of rain in San Antonio, where 7,000 and 10,000 City Public Service customers are without electricity. As of 12:30 a.m., the lower lanes of Interstate 35 in downtown San Antonio are closed due to flooding.
A secondary line of storms, which formed just west of San Antonio, was expected to move into southern Comal County - and possibly New Braunfels. That line has weakened, and should only skirt the area.
However, other storms, all preceding a cold front scheduled to arrive just before daybreak, are expected to form and move through the area throughout the night.
As of midnight, no thunderstorm warnings had been issued for New Braunfels and Comal County. Comal is among several South Central Texas counties under a flash flood watch, which will remain in effect until noon today.
