âThe Legend of Korra,â Season 1, Episode 3, âThe Revelationâ: TV Recap - Speakeasy on day true story
By Christopher John Farley
In the latest episode of "The Legend of Korra," we learn more about the equalists–a spreading revolutionary movement aimed at ending era of the benders.
Bolin and Mako need cash to be able to enter the pro-bending championship tournament. In order to help raise the funds they need, Bolin takes a job with with one of the bending Triads–and promptly disappears.
Mako and Korra go looking for him, and hear about a big equalist event taking place at which Amon promises to unveil "The Revelation." Mako and Korra find the gathering which is filled with bender haters–and Bolin and some members of the bender Triad gangs are on display onstage. Turns out that "The Revelation" is that Amon, leader of the equalists, seemingly has the power to strip benders of their power to bend–permanently.
Mako and Korra manage to create a ruse and free Bolin, but clearly the game has changed. Things have gotten a lot more dangerous for benders in general and Korra specifically. "No bender is safe," Tenzin says, when Korra tells him her tale.
