Clifton presents plaque to Clifton Cares volunteers on day true story



Clifton Cares, volunteers who send packages to soldiers in Afghanistan were honored by the Navy Seals Unit 10 with a flag flown in Afghanistan on 9/11 and a plaque of recognition.

At a recent City Council meeting the flag and plaque were presented to Mayor James Anzaldi for display at City Hall.

Supplies for the troops are being collected ongoing and may be left at City Hall. Suggested food items are candy, cookies, beef jerky, powdered drinks, coffee packets, pudding cups, and gum. Other supplies needed are Visine, small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, mouthwash and hand sanitizers.

Monetary donations are needed to mail packages which are now $13.45 a package. Donations can be sent to Lizz Gagnon. Your check should be payable to cash or Lizz Gagnon (in the memo put Clifton Cares) and mailed to Gagnon, c/o City of Clifton Tax Collector, 900 Clifton Ave., Clifton 07012.
