The Ohio Bobcats will chase their second consecutive opening round win tomorrow when they face the Midwest Region's four seed, Michigan, in Nashville, Tennessee. Friday's meeting between the MAC Tournament winner and the Wolverines is scheduled to get underway at 7:20pm ET at the Bridgestone Arena; the game will be broadcast live on TNT. The latest 2012 NCAA Bracket Predictions have Michigan listed as a -5.5 against the spread favorite and the game total set at 125 points.

Ohio, despite its 27-7 overall record, finished third behind Akron and Buffalo in the MAC's East Division this season. The Bobcats 11-5 conference mark left them two games behind the first place Zips and one back of the Bulls. Fortunately for Head Coach John Groce, his team was still able to earn an big dance berth by virtue of MAC Tournament championship last weekend.

Ohio beat Toldeo in the opening round of the post-season event before going on to down the aforementioned Bulls in the semi-finals and the Zips in the final. The Bobcats, who are averaging 70.7 points per game, knocked off Akron 64-63 in the championship after the team's leading scorer, guard D.J. Cooper (14.6 ppg), downed 4-of-9 from beyond the arc.

Michigan, which lost to Duke 71-73 in the second round of last year's NCAA Tournament, did not fare as well in its conference tournament. The Wolverines got pounded by Ohio State 77-55 in the semi-finals to snap a three game win streak.

Michigan did, however, earn a share of the Big Ten regular season title by winning 13 of its 18 conference games. John Beilein's squad also earned a number of impressive wins through out the course of the season, beating Memphis, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana, and Ohio State.

Michigan has only two players that average double figures in scoring, Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr., but four Wolverines that average double figures in minutes played are hitting over 34 percent from beyond the arc.
