She's continuing to build up her already strong reputation in the world of fashion, and, Rachel Zoe was tapped to grace the cover of the April/May 2012 issue of Los Angeles Confidential magazine.
The 40-year-old designer mom was decked out in a goat and shadow-fox cropped open-back bolero, chiffon hand-pleated skirt and Techno jersey deep V-neck cut-out bustier for the Brian Bowen Smith shot front page while chatting about topics including her ready-to-wear collection, son Skyler and lofty future aspirations.

On the diet pill tabloid scandal in 2006 that further cemented her fame:
"I still to this day am baffled about why and how that happened. I was functioning as an older sister and a mother to some of these people."
On the ready-to-wear collection, which remains her top priority:
"I felt there was a void in what I was looking for, just as a shopper. I wanted to be able to go and buy a beautiful tuxedo or a suit or a great little party dress that wasn't, like, $2,500. The last thing I'm going to do when I come out with a collection is try to be Marc [Jacobs]. I'm not trying to make a huge statement. I'm just trying to make beautiful, wearable, tailored clothes."
On son Skyler, who she often brings to business meetings:
"He's everything. He just started saying 'Mama,' and I died."
On her lofty goals for the future:
"When I launched my collection I said to Li & Fung, 'Oh, by the way, I'm not just launching ready-to-wear—I'm launching a lifestyle brand. I want head-to-toe Rachel Zoe. I want this to be getting dressed with my jewelry, my shoes, my bags, my gloves. I want it all."
