Samuel L. Jackson Channels Pulp Fiction for NBA on day true story

On Thursday night, Samuel L. Jackson wowed fans when he was the guest PA announcer at the New Orleans Hornets' home game against the Los Angeles Clippers. And lucky for the Hornets, after the Oscar-nominated actor paraphrased one of his famous lines from Pulp Fiction during his intro -- the team went on beat the Clippers 97 to 90.

In the clip, Jackson, who is currently in New Orleans working on Quentin Tarantino's new film Django Unchained, kept it buttoned up for the Clippers one-minute introduction. His staid remarks ended with round of applause for former Hornets star Chris Paul, in his first return to his old home court.

Then Mr. Cool kicked things up a notch and channeled his beloved Pulp Fiction character, Big Mac-talking hired gun Jules Winnfield, by saying, "They will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy New Orleans. And you will know their name is The Hornets when they lay their vengeance upon you."

Take a look at the fun-filled video!
