It's all in a day's work for Kate Walsh who credits Shonda Rhimes - National Private Practice on day true story

She's a self-proclaimed bad a&% and well, why shouldn't she be?  The ever sweet and sexy  Kate Walsh made 2 fun-filled TV appearances this week, in which she dished about the rigors of going to work and being surrounded by some of the biggest hunks on TV.   Yesterday, she stopped by to chat with Ellen DeGeneres and today she got her gab on with the gals from 'The Talk'.  The hot topic of conversation on both shows was how tough it must be to get paid to work and do a little on-screen making out with the gorgeous men on 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice'.  It's obvious Walsh enjoys  all of her male hottie co-stars and she credits all of Addison's romantic happy accidents to GA/PP Creator Shonda Rhimes.

DeGeneres brought up PP newbie Benjamin Bratt (Jake Reilly) immediately, and Walsh called him, 'tall dark and handsome'.   DeGeneres chimed in that he defines the phrase.  Things got interesting, though when DeGeneres showed Walsh several sets of lips she has kissed and asked her to guess them.  When they got to Bratt's lips, Ellen said 'Those are some pretty lips', Walsh said she was 'lip-stumped'.  She also asked DeGeneres if they were hers.  She was surprised when they showed Bratt's picture and said:

'That's because we haven't made out that much – yet.'

Hold your breath, JAddison (Jake/Addison) fans—sounds like there just may be some more kissing in this couple's future…

The gals from 'The Talk' also teased Walsh that she gets to go to work and be paid to be sandwiched between Taye Diggs and Benjamin Bratt.  Walsh laughed, saying it was never like that in school, she was always taller than all the boys.

Sheryl Underwood listed all the hunks that Addison has been hooked to:  McDreamy (Patrick Dempsey), McSteamy (Eric Dane), Justin Chambers (Alex Karev), Tim Daly (Pete Wilder), Taye Diggs (Sam Bennett) and new-hottie-on-the-block Benjamin Bratt (Jake Reilly).  Underwood dubbed Walsh her hero and her idol and asked how such a list was possible.  Walsh said:

'It's all Shonda Rhimes.  It's odd when you think 20 years ago, television, this would never happen, ever.'

They all discussed if she gets any foreshadowing on storylines.  Walsh said they get a little, then she praised Rhimes saying:

'I think part of her genius and her skill is that any moment it can all change.  She plots out the season and she can wake up in the middle of the night with an epiphany.  Or, she'll watch what we're doing and oh, let's try this, let's go this way.  It keeps it kind of oddly really fresh and exciting for us as actors.'

Walsh also credited Rhimes with listening to her ideas and being very collaborative, but was quick to say that usually, Rhimes has the best ideas out there.  She said:

'She just comes up with stuff, I could never and I love it.  She has that magical thing of balancing – and all the writers there Craig, Steve Blackman and everybody else on the staff.  They are able to one moment sucker punch you with tragedy and make you laugh the next moment.'

To quote Walsh, quoting her mom, 'Things are really busy at the practice'.

So, we know we can count on Shonda Rhimes and the writing staff to give Addison and her man du jour plenty of opportunities to practice their lip locking skills. And we'll be watching with envy...

'Private Practice' airs Thursdays at 10 PM EST on ABC.
