WATERLOO, Iowa - One person was transported to the hospital by ambulance following a crash in downtown Waterloo Sunday evening.

Waterloo Police responded to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Mullan Avenue and First Street at around 5:05pm Sunday. Police say the driver of one vehicle was traveling the wrong way in a one-way.

Police say the driver of the wrong-way vehicle was ordered a field sobriety test on the scene. He was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The driver of the other vehicle was hospitalized with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
