The Mickey Hart Band—which features Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools—has made three live tracks from their current tour available for free online. Those tracks include recent versions of "Friend of the Devil" (5/16/12, The State Room, Salt Lake City, UT), "Fire on the Mountain" (5/17/12, Ogden Theatre, Denver, CO) and "Bertha" (5/16/12, The State Room, Salt Lake City, UT).
In other news, on May 5 Mickey Hart Band performed at a Alzheimer's research Part the Cloud Benefit benefit at Menlo Park, CA's Rosewood Sand Hill. The evening featured additional performances by Joan Baez and Tony Bennett as well as an appearance from basketball star and Deadhead hero Bill Walton. During the night, Baez also joined Hart on leads vocals for "Friend of the Devil."
Hart will perform at San Francisco, CA's Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary Celebration on May 27. As previously reported, he will perform the "sounds" of the Golden Gate Bridge. The show will also include a fireworks display.
