A man with a silver handgun reportedly held up a south side convenience store early Saturday morning, stealing an unknown amount of money.
Alex Pentico, a worker at the Git-N-Go convenience store at 890 County Line Road, called police around 1 a.m. to report that the store had been held up, according to a police report. When an officer arrived, Pentico reported that a man with a silver handgun came into the store and told him not to trigger the alarm and to give him money.
Pentico gave the man an unknown amount of cash that was on the store's counter, and the man ran out around the west side of the building. The amount of money was blacked out in the police report.
Surveillance video from the store was not immediately available, and was going to be provided to police by the store's manager.
