Report: Alessandro del Piero being offered to Mexican clubs on day true story
Mexico's transfer deadline day was in full swing in Cancun, with representatives of all 18 teams within the new Mexican Premier League gathered to negotiate for top players within the league.
Del Piero had been reportedly interested in a move to Latin America, with River Plate singled out as possibly facilitating a reunion with former French striker David Trezeguet as the club loads up in a return to the Argentine First Division.
However, one name is making waves in the Mexican Caribbean all the way from Turin.
A pair of representatives mingling with executives have claimed to be shopping Alessandro del Piero to interested clubs, according to reports out of Mexico. It is believed that the going rate is $2.5 million a year for the Italian forward.
