Baby Lisa Irwin: Dane Greathouse arrested for stabbing - National missing persons on day true story

Dane Greathouse, 28,  who is known as the man that had a cell phone when a 50-second phone call came in from the house where baby Lisa went missing, has been charged with assault and armed criminal action.  He allegedly attempted to stab a man Saturday.

According to Fox4KC, Greathouse was at the Vienna Square Apartments near NE 64th and North Oak, when he got into an argument with Greg R. May, 31, that turned physical.  May was accusing Greathouse of stealing things from his car when Greathouse took out a pocket knife and stabbed May with it.

May was taken to the hospital where he had surgery for his wound. Greathouse's bail has been set for $175,000, according to KCTV5 News.

Last November Dane Greathouse was wanted for questioning by the police when it came to light that he was in possession of Megan Wright's cell phone when that infamous 50-second phone call came in from one of Deborah Bradley's cell phones that was taken from the house by an unknown person.

Greathouse talked to the police in November and denied any involvement in Lisa's disappearance.  Kansas City Police Dept. told KCTV5 news that investigators have moved on from Greathouse, although they may revisit it if warranted.

Joe Tacopina, attorney for Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin said he believed the person who stole the cell phones from the home the night that Lisa went missing also kidnapped her.

Private Investigator Ron Rugen who was instrumental in finding out that Dane Greathouse was the man that was using Megan Wright's cell phone the night the 50-second phone call came in said during an interview with Megyn Kelly on American Live, "It would appear that whoever dialed that number that night trying to reach Megan's Wright phone, whoever they anticipated who the recipient was, would have had that number memorized or preprogrammed into the phone."

Rugen told Fox4KC that he has since confirmed Greathouse was an irrelevant bystander.

"Yes, he was using this phone, but I've since been granted access to Megan Wright's cell records and that phone call never went through. There was no incoming phone call to that phone at 11:57 p.m.," said Rugen.

Greathouse is being held at the same jail as another person that was connected to Megan Wright, John "Jersey" Tanko, who is awaiting sentencing on unrelated charges.
