Hilary Duff is 9 months pregnant with her first child, and the former "Lizzie McGuire" star has shared her maternal joy with her Twitter followers.

Hilary, 24, posted a new black and white photo to her Twitter account, featuring the actress holding her growing belly while getting a kiss from her husband, Mike Comrie, 31.

The sweet photo seemed to be a hit with Hilary's nearly one million followers, as she Tweeted, "Glad you guys like my new pic! Much love to all you guys."

The singer/actress/author also announced big family news on the social media site earlier in the week - her NHL star husband is hanging up his skates for good due to an injury.

"As many of u know Mike has announced his retirement," she Tweeted on Monday. "It's a bittersweet day! He had a wonderful career! But 3 hip surgeries in 5 years is a lot!"

The couple's baby - a little boy - is due to arrive in March.

This will be the first child for pair, who married in Santa Barbara, Calif., in 2010 after first meeting at an Idaho resort in 2007.
