Although no one matched all six numbers in Friday night's MEGA Millions draw, one player who purchased a ticket at Liquor & Tobacco at 1040 N. Rengstorff Ave. won $259,269 by matching five numbers, according to state lottery officials.
On Jan. 6, Mountain View resident Emily Leach won $1 million in the state lottery after she purchased 40 tickets from Liquor & Tobacco, which is located in the same shopping center as Costco.
Leach's winning ticket was part of the $250 Million Cash Spectacular sweepstakes.
Six other California players also matched five of six numbers in the MEGA Millions draw this week.
Because no one matched all six numbers on Friday, the jackpot for Tuesday's drawing has grown to $356 million, the third largest MEGA Millions jackpot ever, lotto officials said.
The largest MEGA Millions jackpot ever won was $390 million in March 2007.
The winning numbers for the multistate game were 6-17-19-20-21 and a MEGA number of 20.
The other six winning tickets were sold in Los Angeles, Shasta, Stanislaus and Kern counties.
