Colbie Caillat to play Peoria - Peoria, IL on day true story
California pop star Colbie Caillat is headed inland.
The singer will perform at 7:30 p.m. June 28 at the Peoria Civic Center Theater. Tickets are $35 and $45 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 18 at the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, Ticketmaster outlets and online at Ticketmaster.com, or by calling (800) 745-3000.
Caillat became a MySpace sensation in 2006 when she began uploading her songs to her page. She released her debut album, "CoCo," in 2007, followed by "Breakthrough" in 2009. That album was nominated for a Grammy Award. Her most recent album is "All of You," released in July 2011.
Caillat has opened for John Mayer and headlined her own shows. In 2008, she recorded a duet with Jason Mraz, "Lucky," which won a Grammy Award.
Caillat told USA Today that her songs are "optimistic and bright."
"I grew up in southern California and Hawaii. The lifestyle was laid back and I listened to mellow, positive music, like Bob Marley and Jack Johnson. So I think that's all inside me. I'm happy, and that gets expressed in my music."
