Before Guy Fawkes' Day became a symbol of the modern anarchist movement and all those groddy dudes down at Occupy Wall Street started wearing those masks, Guy Fawkes Day was the shittiest holiday ever. On Guy Fawkes Day, children are encouraged to make a scarecrow out of rags and walk around saying "penny for the guy." Think of all your favorite Arbor/Flag Day memories and allow for more sadness to get into the right mindset for pre-V for Vendetta Fawkesing around. So, yes, this explosion is cool, but real movies are made about real holidays (preferably ones starring Bill Pullman).
