BOSTON -- Roger Clemens was met with a chorus of boos when he was picked up by the stadium camera during his return to Fenway Park for the Red Sox-Braves game Friday night, MLB.com reported.

The former Sox pitcher, 49, was seated in the first row of the Monster Seats for the three-game Interleague series opener, days after he was acquitted on all charges in his high-profile perjury trial.&

Clemens was picked up on the center field video board in the top of the fourth inning but was met with a distinctly mixed reaction, which owed in part to his later years with the Yankees.&

The seven-time Cy Young winner was found not guilty Monday of perjuring himself in front of Congress when he denied using performance-enhancing drugs.&

Despite the verdict, some in the sport continued to question Clemens' innocence.&

Yankees legend Goose Gossage said he did not want a "cheating" Clemens to join him in the Hall of Fame.&

"Even though he was found innocent, I think it was because of the bad testimony," Gossage said in a radio interview.&

He later added, "These guys lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. Roger, I think is in the same boat."
