Ex-YMCA worker accused of molesting children - Local News - Houston, TX on day true story

& Police believe a former YMCA worker, who is charged with trading hundreds of sexually explicit images of children, may have sexually assaulted children as well. Christopher Hilton, 32, has been charged with promotion of child pornography. Hilton worked at the front desk of the YMCA in the Oak Forest area until he quit a few weeks ago. Houston police said a search warrant granted access to Hilton's e-mail and text messages. Inside, investigators found messages of Hilton bragging about his assaults. "From the content recovered, from those accounts officers believe there may be victims aging between 3 and 12 years of age," said J.T. Roscoe with the Houston Police Department. The YMCA said Hilton did not work directly with children or pose a threat to any of the kids there. "We don't have any indication that he approached our children in any way," said Trazanna Morena, a YMCA spokesperson. Detectives said they have no photographic evidence of the assaults, but ask that parents talk with their children to identify potential victims. Police said their investigation of Hilton started in September. He was tracked down through his computer's IP address, detectives said. Investigators have accused Hilton of collecting and trading hundreds of sexually explicit images of young children. Detectives said he downloaded and shared images through his computer at his northwest Houston home. YMCA officials said they do background checks and Hilton's record came back clean. Before he worked at the YMCA, Hilton was a gym teacher at a private school. &
