Most San Marino residents still without power on day true story

SAN MARINO, Calif.—Police say the majority of San Marino residents are still without power because of the violent winds that caused damage to power lines.

San Marino police tell City News Service that crews have cleared debris on all major streets in the city but there are still reports of 250 trees and heavy branches that fell as of 6 p.m. Thursday.

Police say eleven homes were damaged by the strong winds. Three were red-tagged, meaning they are not safe for residents to enter.

San Marino is among the cities in the San Gabriel Valley hardest-hit by the windstorm.

Southern California Edison says severe winds and debris have been hampering efforts to restore power and some customers should prepare for the possibility of being without service overnight and possibly longer.
