Cleveland Cavaliers list Kyrie Irving as questionable for Saturday's game against Knicks on day true story
NEW YORK -- The Cavaliers are listing Kyrie Irving as questionable for Saturday's game against the Knicks after spraining his right shoulder Friday.
It's hard to imagine the presumptive Rookie of the Year would suit up at Madison Square Garden unless he made dramatic improvement this afternoon. The Cavs have lost six straight and nine of the last 10 games to fall out of the playoff picture.
He injured the shoulder in a collision with Milwaukee's Eran Ilyasova in the second quarter of 121-84 loss to the Bucks. Irving, who scored 29 points in just three quarters, traveled with the team to New York and was re-evaluated by the club's medical staff today.
The Cavaliers did not practice this morning so we probably won't receive another update until tonight. The Cavs likely won't risk playing him, however. Point guard Donald Sloan could get his first NBA start against the Knicks.
