Dan Burke, regional president of NBT Bank, is being honored for his commitment to community by the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Burke was named the 23rd annual J. Walter Juckett Community Service Award winner on Thursday.

Burke, who has been the Glens Falls regional president of NBT since June 2007, has 25 years banking experience, including serving as president and CEO of TD Bank New York and its predecessor, Evergreen Bank.

A resident of Queensbury, Burke is involved with the Glens Falls YMCA (trustee); Glens Falls Business Improvement District (chair); EDC Warren County (director); New York State High School Basketball Championship Tournament Program Committee (chair); and Glens Falls Hospital (trustee and chair of finance committee).

"Dan demonstrates a fierce commitment and hands-on dedication to the betterment of our local community," said ARCC President and CEO Peter Aust.

A banquet will take place Feb. 9 at Heritage Hall in the Glens Falls Civic Center.

The award is named after J. Walter Juckett, a philanthropist from Hudson Falls.
