Exclusive Video: Mad Mash-up: 2 Broke Powerpuff Girls on day true story
The folks at Mad are having way too much fun. Monday's episode of the Cartoon Network series (based on the iconic humor magazine) features "2 Broke Powerpuff Girls," a clever mash-up of the late, great, adorable cartoon The Powerpuff Girls and CBS's bawdy new sitcom 2 Broke Girls.
In the hilarious sketch, Bubbles and Buttercup, two of the super-powered tots from 1998-2005 'toon, are now hard on their luck and have turned to waiting tables at a dreary diner reminiscent of Max and Caroline's 2 Broke Girls workplace. (As for the third Powerpuff Girl, the narrator tells us "Blossom's doing great, by the way.") This comes on the heels of other inspired Mad mash-ups, including "My Super Supernatual Sweet 16," "How I Met Your Mummy" and "So You Think You Can Train Your Dragon How to Dance?"
Mad airs Mondays at 8:30/7:30c on Cartoon Network. Check out this clip from "2 Broke Powerpuff Girls."
